Krib parents reunited

I had to take my female krib away from her fry today...she was chasing them around in an aggressive way so I figured it was time for them to be separated. She looked like a cat chasing a fly.
Any way...as soon as I put her in the tank, the male got really excited. I saw their coloring go from normal to breeding colors, in 2 seconds. It was so so cool. My pair have kissed and made up. They have been flirting ever since I put her in the 100g with everyone else. SO cute.

Yup the females are a bit nastier than the males. So yeah, unless your other fishies are fast enough...a female would either kill them physically or stress the heck out of them.

I KNOW...she hasn't stopped vibrating since they have been in the tank. AND I saw her making a nesting spot. With himself on guard as usual. Not ready for more fry yet.

They didn't look like that about 1 minutes before I put her in the tank with everyone else. It was something to see that color change. Almost like lake Malawi African cichlids. Thanks...I love my kribs.

I have a question for you allie, how long after your female started digging did she lay eggs? The first time my female started digging she laid eggs the second day. She's been digging for the last 3 days now... I'm thinking she isn't doing this out of hobby, so I can't help but expect eggs any day now, and yes my male is watching over too and everyone's vibrating. I was wondering if digging always means eggs, and if so... how long after the digging starts? she's gonna hit the bottom of the tank soon with the pit she's digging in her flowerpot!

They seemed to laid their eggs within 3 days after I first noticed the digging & spitting out gravel. She had a big pile outside of the entrance of her pot.
Mine have been digging too, but they are in the 100g community tank atm so I am not sure if they will breed. They plants and wood etc...is in the same I had them in the 50g where they spawned 1st. They are very happy to be back together.
