I had a huge female balloon mollie, and got one baby out of her.
she is a marble but the fry is brown
is this what balloon fry look like

congrats.. pregnancy is hard on the balloon mollies and i'm glad she's doing well.

Hi Sword. My balloon molly is brownish, and some of her fry's also brown, but she also sometimes has some mainly white ones. Balloon fry, like any other fry, can be any colour the genetics of their parents' colour will allow.

Dave's right. I had a small brush with my balloon's first pregnancy, and we thought she would never make it. She had a side birth. I did some research and the internet abounds with similar accounts. Their morphology is just not geared toward giving birth, poor things.

no he acted very strange that morning swimming really wierd
when i got home from school, he was dead

hmm.. can't say for sure, but my guess is internal parasites. did you happen to notice any white or clear poop in the days before you lost him?
