My male dwarf gourami has begun to construct a bubble nest, is there anything i should be doing?

are either of the other 2 gourami females? if so, do you see any changes in the female? do you want gourami fry? what are you currently feeding them?

if you want the fry and you're not already, i'd go to a high-protein diet like thawed frozen bloodworms to condition them and consider dividing the tank to seperate the breeding couple & nest from the other fish. On the breeding side, if you have a filter, i'd secure netting over the intake tube to keep fry out or use a sponge filter.

Both of the other dwarves are females and they havent been acting differently. unfortunately i dont have a tank divider and my only other tank is a 2.5 G with a betta in it.

PS we had a huge thunderstorm the day before the bubblenest appeared, could this have something to do with it?

yea.. that often can cause air labyrinth fish to build a bubble nest.
