Are they in the tank with the mom? If so more likely than not they were a snack for her or another fish.

So the bodies disappeared, or you found little dead ones in the net? If you found dead ones, what did they look like? Any special signs, like red gills, or sunken bellies?

Was that your female's first batch? If not, how did the fry in the other batches do?

is the net in a tank with other fish? the fry can slip through the holes sometimes? is there a filter of any kind in the net home with them?

Mmmmh. That's bizarre. And they were in there on their own? The only explanation is that they had access to the main tank water, then. The nursery nets are sometimes faulty. They can fall, or have holes that are too large. Either that, or they've jumped into the tank water?

well i found on out tat the adult fish cud get in to it net and i found 5 fish in the tank and one of them was smaller than the rest of them
