Silly question here....

With Livebearing fish, do they mate where the male and female come together, or does the male sperm float in the water and the female becomes "fertilized" that way!!!

The male uses his gonopodium which is like a modified anal fin to inject the spern into the female

This discussion is getting slightly tmi ...but yeah, J-Man is right...in fact, the easiest way to sex livebearers is that while the female's anal fin is fan-shaped, the male's is modified into a tube.
