How young can Guppies have fry?

I have seven or eight very young guppies in a small tank. They are around a month and a half or maybe two months old and are around 3/4 of an inch long on the average. They are all basically colorless, but a few are starting to show a bit of color. BUT... I just discovered one tiny little guy in the tank. He's no bigger than a newborn.. barely a 1/4 inch. Is it possible that my fry already had fry of their own, or is it more likely that this little guy is the brother or sister of the rest of them and just hasn't grown one single iota since birth?

I could be wrong, but i thought gups wouldn't breed until about 3 months or at least until after you could sex them.. he could be a runt that hasn't gotten much to eat maybe.

I have seen them drop fry at about 75-80 days old.
This is not common, but it does happen.

Re: How young can Guppies have fry?

Hmmm.. I'm not exactly sure of the exact date this litter (is that the correct term?) of fry was born.. but according to some of my earlier posts, it must have been around the 1st of May or thereabouts. I inquired about the female being preggers on Apr. 18th, and on May 23rd I posted again talking about the fry she had being around a half inch long... So I'm thinking they were probably born around the end of April/beginning of May, making them barely 2 months old. The more I think about it, the more I am inclined to think one of them had a baby. I would have probably noticed the tiny fish sooner than I did if he had been around the whole time... I monitor that tank pretty closely, and there's not a whole lot of hiding places in the tank.
