bumblebee goby question

so I have multiple tank syndrome. I have a 29g and a 46g freshwater and a 10g saltwater was thinking of trying my hand at a brackish setup. so i have a 2 1/2 gallon tank and thought it would be interesting to try a bumblebee goby or 2 in it after it cycles, i also have a 5 gallon tank i could set up I am in the research phase right now so it would be a while before i make the jump, they look so cute and are so small that i would be afraid to add them to a brackish setup that would be have larger tankmates any suggestions

I have 10 in a 29 gallon brackish and that seems to keep everyone happy. They require brackish and should be in at least 20 gallons of water in order to keep them in numbers of 6 and up ... having said that, others say they are successful with 2 in a five gallon tank, but not sure how happy they would be.

Mine are with 2 mollies and a figure 8 puffer, specific gravity of 1.005, pH 8 and temp 80 ... 20% weekly water changes and they are all active, eating and doing great ...

The problem with tanks smaller than 10 gallons, particularly salt or brackish, is stability of the water chemistry. A little evaporation will cause more problems in a smaller tank than a larger one. In a larger tank purple (aka dragon) gobies actually mix quite well with bumblebees. They have big mouths, but really prefer small foods like frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp.
