Hi, I have a 50 gallon tank with a knight goby in it and I'd like to try some ideas...let me know what you think...


SG 1.008 by the way

- 6 Red or green Scats
or
- 2 Green Spotted Puffers
or
- 4 Figure 8 Puffers
or
- Do you have other suggestions?

What do you think?

Mine made a meal out of a few mollies and bumblebee gobies ... a few scats should be fine ... or LARGE mollies ... I would not put any more than 2 F8 puffers though ...

Have you thought of the orange chromide? or wasp goby?

No I haven't researched them yet. Do you have good experience with chromides or wasps?

I wouldn't do GSPs, because of their special salinity requirements. Figure 8s could probably work well

I thought both the GSP and the Knight Goby do well at SG 1.010

GSPs will eventually need to be full marine ... F8s will be fine in brackish ...

I have not had Chromides yet, althoug I asked my LFS to bring one in for me this week ...

I purchased a wasp goby, but he died 4 days later ... the LFS admits that there was a problem with the tank he was in and they lost 3/4 of the fish that were in the brackish tank ... ammonia problem of some sort ...

So, my bumblebee gobies and figure 8 are doing very well and I hope that a Chromide will not upset hings too much ...
