When can I water change?

Hi, when can I do a water change after I've added fish to an already cycled tank bad grammar?

Keep and eye on your water chemistry for a bit...I do water changes every 10 days. Some do it every week and some every 2 weeks. It really just depends on your own tank and its needs, your stock etc...IMO you should change at least 1/3 of your tank volume every month.

Ok thanks. i like doing 25% weekly. So I added my new fish (to already established tank) yesterday. I should do tests every few days and then do a change at the end of the week?

Hi there as rule for my self I would not do a WC for about 3 days after adding fish I'd let them get over the stress of the move befor I stress with a WC...IMO Rob

Thanks Rob. that maybe the way to go, they're still pretty skittish every time I walk by the tank..

I agree with Grump...let your new fish adjust a few days first...and keep and eye on your chemistry. If you get a spike in ammonia or nitrites you may have to do one soon.

You know it's kind of tough to tell what my ammonia is for this reason.
SG 1.010
My API ammonia test is a "dark yellow" if you will...
On the saltwater scale it's fine
On freshwater, that dark yellow but not the kind I'm used to seeing on a freshwater tank that has ammonia...do you know what I mean?
