Knight Gobie not looking great! :(

We came home today with a knight gobie for our 22 gallon brackish tank. He was active at the LFS, but when we brought him home, he became lifeless after properly acclimatizing him over the course of almost an hour.

Our water and the LFS water have identicle perameters ... SG = 1.004, A=0, Ni=0, Na=5. pH=7.8. Plenty of filtration ... tank mates are 4 bumble bee gobies and 2 dalmation mollies who are all thriving perfectly. TONS of hiding spots ...

At the moment, he has very fast gill movement and keeps wedging himself in a corner with very little movement with his nose pointed to the top of the tank ... I have turned the lights off (his tank at the LFS was not lit) ... Temp @ just below 80f.

I wonder if he is doomed or just stressed and will come out of it ... *crossing my fingers*

Thoughts?

Update:

He's finally moving around ... even went for some food ... I have walked down the hall way very slowly a couple of times and see him cruising around ... he's already picked a hiding spot ... but the second he catches a glimps of my shadow, he's gone!

Looks like we are both feeling better ...

I've got 3 of those lil piggys. My lil ones eat right out of my hand. Truly! Sounds like he had a touch of, new kid on the block. Glad to hear he/she's doing better.
However sadly 3 of my 5 Orange Chromides have died. Not a sign of illness from them either. Everyone else is doing great. I am gonna look for at least 3 more Rhinohorn Gobys. They are so cute!!

Thanks for the words! Sorry to hear about your Orange Chromides, I was searching for one around town but found the Knight first ... I don't want to overcrowd the tank (22 gallon) ... but I am absolutely going to search for some Rhinohorn Gobys ... So far the Knight is leaving my BB Gobies alone ... It's a laugh watching them chase the shrimp ...

Our Knight Goby is doing much better today, coming out for food and has finally found his / her nest (clay pot on its side with a rock porch) ... I'm almost positive it's a "he" ... I'll try to snap a pic soon ...
