JoJo hope you don't mind that I moved your post on Bumblebee Gobies to a thread of it's own.
I agree they are darling little fish, but since they are happier in brackish conditions I really don't have a place to put any right now. One of these days! Oh MTS(Multiple Tank Syndrome) how contagious you are

I have one bumblebee goby (I was horrible and bought him on impulse, but I had a cycled 5g available, I just added salt before I put him in) because the guy at the lfs said just one would be fine. I got home, read up, and found somewhere that they are very shy alone but more outgoing when in groups. Unfortunately he'll have to wait until I get more tank space to get some friends... and he's actually not that shy by himself. Hopefully soon I should have room for a 20g for him, several friends, and a couple of mollies.

when they are placed in groups they actually get into scuffles. nothing that would hurt one another, truly interesting to watch but they protect their territory. generally 2 or more is a good idea in a decent sized tank because they are always looking for another bumble to come on their property.. my baby is always on guard but i cant find him an amigo anywhere
