just started 10 gal brackish
i got a red claw crab a few months ago. he (i think) is doing fantastic considering the events hes survived so far. then i find out that they prefer brackish water. so i bought a 10 gal tank and i'm thinking i should probably slowly work the red claw into a brackish environment since he is the only thing in there for now. i just put him in there earlier today and i put 1 & 1/2 tsp of Ocianic Natural Sea Salt Mix in last night while i was letting it cycle (using fresh water from my 55 gal). the salt mix is 1.45 lbs and says that the whole bag is for 5 gal of full salt water. any one out there have one of these crabs? also what all fish are brackish fish, and how many can i fit in the 10 gal with the crab. (by the way, there is only a lil over 5 gallons of water with land space for crab) And finally... can anyone give me any pointers or even comments on brackish tanks aside from basic knowledge found easily on the web?
