so as most of you know I have mollys, guppies, sword tails, and platies, oh and one bottom feeder.


well for some reason my male plattie has been attacking everyone in the tank, even the bottom feeder. normaly he would pick one one of the other female platties and leave the rest alone, but about 2 days ago he's been attacking averyone. buting on there fine, pecking at them, and then he will swim right into them and continue doing this. what's going on with him? it's gotton so bad I have to put him in the quarenteen tank for now.


what could be the causing this strange behavior?

p.s. he's even been attacking the other boys in the tank.

What size tank is this, and how many of each fish are in there?

What kind of decorations, substrate, plants (live or fake), driftwood, rocks, etc do you have in the tank?

How long have your fish been in this tank together?

What is the temperature of the water?

it's a 20 gal tank with
3 mollies ( 1male 2female )
3 swordtail ( 1male 2female )
4 guppies ( 1 male 3 female)
3 platies ( 1 male 2 female)
1 orange loach ( gender= UNKNOWN lol )


I have white fake plants and breeder grass with matalic blue and purple rocks

no drift wood

medium flat rocks for them to hide under

and they've all been together for a long time, the most recent addition to my tank was my blue/green male guppy.


and the temprature of my tank is 79 degrees. and they live in brackish water.
