I have been keeping BB gobies for a few years, in my large 2t tank i was quite unsuccessfull with them as they enjoy hiding away and are relatively unactive for long periods of time and therefore are extremely slow feeders, losing out to my fast tetras and livebearers. BB's are not the easiest fish to keep as generally they only eat live food and even then are very picky! Iv had one goby in my 1ft+ tank for about six months now and he's thriving! I decided to get another one a few days back and they are getting along fine, though often square each other up when one enters anothers territory! They are lovely little fish but maybe not best suited for begginers as their eating habits require great consideration and are known to require brackish water, but mine have always been kept in fresh water. Not best suited with fast greedy tetras. I keep mine with balloon mollies and guppies and my guppies sometimes get a wee nip from them as BB's are known fin nippers but not at all overly aggressive. Sweet little fish!
