Re: Blue Lobster?

This is from my brothers experience in keeping cichlids buy a full sized commen Plecostomus that is the best invest for a cichlid tank the fish will nip at the Pleco but wont hurt it and the cichlids will not be able to eat it the Common Plecostomus gets up to 20 inches but does not really count for inces on your tank becouse it does not really swim around. The only bad thing about it is that it produces a very big bio-load.

Re: Blue Lobster?

well I don't coun't it because it does not move around and it does nothing but suck off algea of the side of the tank. Remember you don't have to take my advice.

Re: Blue Lobster?

it still takes up the space... and even at that.. the reason for the inch rule is based on bioload. and plecos change the rule to about 2 inches per gallon because they so much. you need to count all the fish you have in your tanks... even a perfectly stocked tank with one more fish like a pleco hiding in the back all the time can still make a tank overcrowded

Re: Blue Lobster?

or you could clean the tank more often and clean up the plecos so he won't count in the bioload
