I have an Electric Blue Craw Fish or Cray Fish, and I noticed him acting kind of strangely. He has his tail curled up, both his pinchers closed and crossed, he keeps rubbing his pinchers with his legs and he's walking backwards. Right now he's in his cave kind of laying on an angle. Is this what they do when they molt? BTW he's about a year and a half. TIA.

laying on an angle? that's what some do when they molt, give him about 24 hours peace and see what happens. mine molted today while i was at school, i can't believe i missed it. just be careful, he is very vulnerable at this stage. avoid contact with him for about 48 hours. if he does molt, let me know.

if he is in with aggressive fish or with other crayfish, i'd separate him for 3 days at least. i put mine in a breeder box and he did fine. don't remove the exes skin until after 2 days because they will eat it to regain calcium.
