Re: bluelobster help plz!

Okay, before you get confused by that link..."Blue Lobsters", in aquaria, are crawfish(or crayfish, or crawdads, mudbugs, etc etc so on and so forth). Blue lobsters, in the wild, or anywhere for that matter, are extremely rare.

I believe most species of blue crawfish max out around 6", they will eat your fish if they can catch them, but most fish are too quick for the crawfish, unless they are sleeping. The ones at my LFS are $20 US.

Maybe this link will help a little more.

Re: bluelobster help plz!

i have a blue cray and she is pretty peaceful but she is carrying eggs as of now but i wouldn't put anything that is a bottom dweller in with it like Corie's or small Pecos. their max size is 6 inches but rarely exceed 4. they are basically scavengers so anything left on the bottom is fair game for them. they are big waste producers so dint over stock. if you have room for one id say get it there so cool. here is a few pictures of pincess

Re: bluelobster help plz!

If it is big enough, once the barbs go to sleep they will be eatten. They'll kill most any small fish in the tank with them, as most fish go to "sleep" quite often. Most any fish big enough for it to not kill will very likely view it at food and try to kill it. So most people keep them as a solitary item in a tank.

Re: bluelobster help plz!

A lot of people skip feedings one day a week. With my fish it gets them used to pecking on algae and other fauna, good for keeping the fish regular and not letting them get obese. (Fish can be obese)
