I have 4 blue gourami in 20 gallon tank. I brought some water plant call Rotala Indica. Right after I put the plant in the aquarium the fish start eating them and now the plant is dead. Also the water turn cloudy. I was wounder if any one of you have any suggestion what plant I can put with the fish I have so the plant can live with the fish.

If the waters not too rough they will enjoy some floating plants, they like to build bubble nests in them. If their eating your plants maybe their not getting enough vegetable matter in their diet.

welcome to fishlore!! I have some java moss in my tank and they dont seem to bother it...the cloudyness could be from new tank? how old is the tank? im shocked that the gourami's arent fighting in a 20 gallon...your lucky!!

they are not fighting at all. The tank is 3 month old. I feed them sinking vegetable matter, tubifex worm and flake. Also if I get some java moss do I need to but them in a clay pot? and what like of soil should I put inside the pot?
