Hi. I just had a batch of Blood Fin Tetras hatch out yesterday. It's a 10gal. tank with sponge filter. Should I be running the filter? It has a very gentle flow. Today I don't see so many of them. I gave them a couple shots of Wardly Fry food today. Am hatching brine shrimp that will be ready tonight. Is it to soon to start feeding them shrimp fry? Also does the Wardly Fry food ever go bad. I've had it for about 4 months? Also I started lettuce infusa about a month ago is that to old to give them?

running the filter is beneficial because it will keep the water clean of major toxins put out by fish waste and any leftover food. I would wait a little while before feeding the brine shrimp because many species of fish have an egg sac that they utilize for the first few days after birth. I wouldn't feed them anything until the majority of fry use up their egg sac completely. I would then move to commercial fry foods or baby brine shrimp after the egg sac has diminished

OK thanks. I'm feeding the commercial fry food now. They are so tiny you can't even see an egg sac.
