| Please Read This area will be used for personal tank blogs. Contact Mike ( support@fishlore.com or send me a PM) to get your own board created within this category and you can then use your own board to track your tank's progress and field your own question and answer sessions. Have fun! |

But a blog will give you more room to create your own threads on a subject and for people to respond. You even get to moderate your own blog. |

| No I meant a blog for myself.Sounds selfish? but the first album had a box for a title for it and a text box for information that I started using for a place to keep records of my fish keeping activity. Well anyway,it disappeared so I made a new album and the title box is working but the text box for general information isn't. I wouldn't care if its public as long as I can edit changes, and visitors could leave comments but not change my edits. |

| It's not self fish at all. Lot of members have blogs.
It's a great way to keep track of your progress.
Just send Mike a pm or an e-mail, it's in the first post in this thread. He'll set one up for you.
Or......you didn't want it in the member's blog section of the forum? |

| No I read the forum threads etc...I don't know I just just feel safer as I refresh my old fishkeeping skills, and adapt to new ones. And making notes I can edit like after I remember leaving something out etc...helps.
Thats what threads in the forum do too I know but,I'm trying to be cautious in the forum so I don't put my own foot in my mouth, with a stupid comment, suggestion etc...and make someone else make a mistake. |

It would be like a sub-forum called Hwx.
That's why I suggest your own blog. You can edit, make notes, you'd be moderator of your own blog.
Start new threads..whatever.....It's like your own forum.
If you make a thread and not want anyone to add anything but you, you can lock the thread. You've got control. |

| I'm wondering if I should start a blog about my own tank - there's seems to be a lot of people who are wondering how my tank will make out with 2 male betta in it. Would it be better to track it on the thread I started ("How long does it take a tank to settle?" or should I start a blog? I don't want to start it if no one will read it, lol - maybe I am over-estimating the interest it would generate? |

| Some members like to keep blogs to keep track of their progess or just to ramble about things.
You can always find your threads at the top under My Threads if you don't want a blog.
Take a look and see what others have done in their blogs by following the link in post #1
then you can decide. sorry for the mistake. I meant post #11 Last edited by Lucy; August 19th, 2009 at 07:54 PM.

| I have to look into it myself. I do tend to ramble on, and my threads are all over the shop. |

I think a member blog is like a sub forum, except in your name where you can moderate it.. I think a fishlore blog allows you to have more of a 'page' with a background etc.
You can look here and see the differences between the two: Aquarium Fish Tank Blogs |

| Is there a minimum of posts or date registered to get a member blog? I'd love to get one so I can keep all my learning in one place and not ask my dumb questions all over the place! |

| Oh, and how do you pm someone? Is that something that requires 50 posts to be able to do? I used to admin a vB forum, so you'd think I'd be able to work out pm, but I cant see it on here, lol. |

| There isn't a minimum amount of posts or registration date to have a blog.
Members need 50 posts to pm.
Looks like you've got that.
Pm Mike and let him know you'd like a blog. He'll set it up for you.
Have fun with it! |
