My birds and cages

Here are my 2 birds ..one is a female budgie ( yellow and green ) the other is a male parrotlet. I believe like betta...birds need big cages and lots of room to stretch.. I think I have achieved this...lol.

Adorable! I was looking at them in the pet store this morning. I've had a good many birds over the years and loved every minute of it! Have fun and enjoy.
Thanks for sharing the photos!

Which were you looking at ? Parrotlets or budgies? I love both of these birds and they are both fairly tame. The p'let is much more of a challange than the budgie..lol. When he is displeased YOU KNOW IT! He is tamer than the budgie with me and more or less a one person bird. The budgie is coming along nicely now and is getting quite tame to. These are such fun pets , but are not cheap...lol The budgie was only $15.00 but and the p'let $150.00 but the cages were $140 each . Plus $100.00's of toys...I spoil them...lol. They are bonding to each other to. The p'let regurgitates and feeds the budgie and they preen each other...Thanks for the comments every one.

I saw some of both this morning and an African Gray $1600.00. Wow! They are all adorable Glad you're having fun with yours. They sure are nice to have around. Maybe I'll get more one of these days.
If you can't spoil them why have them? lol

Beautiful birds! We have two budgies in our house. One is hand-tamed, the other isn't.

Geez, birds are expensive in America. Here in South Africa, Budgies cost R50+- which is about $5. And african greys are R 2000+- which is about $200.

I would think that the African Grays are cheaper... I mean that is where they come from right lol

Your birds are beautiful..... Very good that they are near the window... I guess birds require a good amount of sun light in order to maintain proper health...

Thank you for the compliments. My birds love to look out the window. You do have to be careful they don't overheat if the sun shines in ...but this window gets no direct sunlight as there are buildings across the street that block it when it gets to the right angle to shine in. Grays are expensive here to. I had to take the budgie to the vet yesterday to get her treated for mites. I have not had her long and she has recently started showing signs of face mites. She got them either at the pet store or at the breeders. I also had to treat the p'let . There was a beautiful cockatoo at the vets office too.
