We got a love bird today!!!!

I'm so excited I allways wanted a lovebird. I used to have parakeets when I was younger so Iknow some bird care basics..It was so cool my boyfriend asked me the other day if he could get a bird ..who did he think he was aking anyways...he is very shy right now so I dont want to just whip out the camera on him/her yet...He is in the same room as the fish so we really have to work hard to keep the cats out..hurray i'm gaining a farm!!!!

Love birds are great birds! Id he tame? If not, you could easily tame him. What color and type is he? Fischer/rosy-faced?

Congratulations, I think they are adorable.
I had heard they were better kept in pairs because they require so much companionship. Don't know if that's true or not.

I can't wait to see pics.

No it's better to not keep them in pairs cause they fight too much he is a peach face but he is blue so not so peach faced and he is young but loves to bite fingers which drives me nuts but love to be out of his cage on our shoulders

Oh ya! They looove to bite! Lol, but they should stop as they get to know you! They generally will fight before they pair but you are right its better keeping one, no hassle of moving them around one cage to another. Peach faced, must be really pretty! we have a peach faced x.
