| New Betta owner here
So I decided to get a fish to keep my kitty entertained while I'm at work and the guy at Petco told me that Bettas were much hardier than the goldfish I was thinking about getting. I hadn't had a fish since I was quite young and now I'm 57, so I'm pretty inexperienced w/fish, but things have improved a lot since then, and now we have the internet to turn to for info, so here I am.
I asked him what all I needed and he loaded me up. Knowing nothing, I decided on a 2.5gal MiniBow (I didn't think I wanted anything larger). Now I read that a 5 gallon is better, but I think my Bernie seems pretty happy to be here. I think he's beautiful. BTW, the plastic plant is gone now. I got some betta bulbs a few days ago and one of them is starting to show a little green tip today, so Bernie's going to have a nice live plant soon! | |

| Here is my oldest companion, Sigmund. 
Here's my second male, Kitty Cat -named because he is my cat's fish, not mine  They'll actually play through the tank, funniest thing. My cat will put his face to the tank and Kitty Cat will press his entire body up against where the cat has his face.

| First is Saber, my male crowntail. He's named after lightsabers from Star Wars due to his red fins in the front.
Next is Macey, a female veiltail. She's really a lavender color in person, not this blue that keeps showing up.
Then is Aurra, another female veiltail. She's a beautiful red color and is really friendly.
Last is Princess, maybe a female, maybe a veiltail. She/he is metallic but never stops moving. | |

| Here's one I have to share. 2 & 1/2 month old I just jarred from a spawn between a White Lavender male I bred to one of my Pastel Green females. White, Orange, Pink, Red, Purple, Light Blue, Dark Blue and Black all on the same little guy. Talk about being Multi-colored!  | |

| I have pictures of my two Boys, none of my girl yet. She has a huge attitude to my camera. She hid on me a few mins ago when she saw the camera.
Here are my Two Crowntail boys
Oceanus is the lovely blue one and the other guy my daughter named blondi (don't know why). Sorry about Oceanus his whole pic is blue but you can see him there.
Finally have one of my girl Saphira. I love this little girl.
