Here he is. He is curly and scruffy but looking better by the day. He's certainly happy playing in the filter flow and finds the tightest spots to wriggle through  . He seems to have clicked that i am not just another face but his mum now and will swim around holding his pellets in his mouth to make me laugh  .
* since taking these pics he has come on alot. His eyes are brighter and have blue sections. Also i have started to see some pale aqua blue in his finnage. I haven't had his temp too high yet as i thought if he has any bugs the high temp will help them to grow. I've had him a while now so when i increase the temp i'm sure i will see so much more!!*

| Some really horrible pics of my guys
I know they are bad but for some reason my new camera and I just do not get along. I cannot get it to take unfuzzy pictures and the fish will not hold still and behave long enough to give me a real chance. I need to go to school to learn how to do this with a camera that is smarter than I am but I do not have the time so these will have to do. I wish I had my old not so smart camera back!
My new one is a Kodak P880 if anyone knows anything about them I would appreciate any pointers or where I can learn anything about them.
Well here goes. They were all especially naughty today as they have been upset due to the weather being bad and it always gets them wild but never this hyper!

| I agree that the bettas on this site are lovely, gorgeous and WHAT a difference in Prissy!
She has Blossomed and Bloomed! You have every right to be so proud of her. Claude is so striking and handsome. and the others are great too!!
We all have lovely fish and that is why the calendar is going to be so great!
I tried all the advice and backed up and reset the camera and updated all the software on all the photo stuff right down to the resizing software and see if the following test shots are better. If not I am calling Kodak.

I love the way she "posed," and especially showing off her fins against the few lighter backgrounds in the tank. Unfortunately, there were no lighter backgrounds to show off her long ventral fins with all the other fins at the same time. She did her best for the camera. | |

Hello everybody. I wanted a Betta for the longest time, and it took me almost two months to find the right one. His name is Bemis, named after the place where I work, hes the same colors as the logo. Right now I have him in a bowl...just until his spacious 10 gallon tank is ready for him. Please tell me what you think of his name and his color.

| Well I haven't been around in a while, so I thought I would bump this thread to introduce my new boy. He's very difficult to photograph because he is extremely busy, places to go and fish to see, etc.  I named him George Clooney because he is so very handsome! I think he would be called a butterfly color pattern? He's got a bit of a mess for a tail, I just rescued him from his little cup at petsmart the other day. Hopefully he'll straighten out on his own in his clean, warm tank. He's totally a spaz right now, flaring at his own reflection non-stop. I'm having a challenge getting his attention long enough for him to eat, but so far I've been able to get 2 or 3 pellets in him a day, with patience.

Unfortunately, I lost Jett about 2 weeks ago.  He just started going downhill out of the blue, very listless, stopped eating, fins were deteriorating. I medicated him but it didn't seem to help and eventually he settled on the bottom of his tank and just passed away.
Cujo and Romeo are still going strong, as is little Ra the sun god! Guess I need to make a new sig pic one of these days... | |
