Hi, Im new here....and so is Bemis
Hello everybody. I wanted a Betta for the longest time, and it took me almost two months to find the right one. His name is Bemis, named after the place where I work, hes the same colors as the logo. Right now I have him in a bowl...just until his spacious 10 gallon tank is ready for him. Please tell me what you think of his name and his color.

A lovely Betta you have there! I'm seeing more and more Bettas that colour every day - and for good reason! You should do daily 50% watcr changes until his 10gal is ready as you can't cycle a bowl! |

I have been changing his water every other day. Hes only going to be in that tiny bowl until Tuesday, and I bought him this past thursday. I may put him in earlier. I have feeder fish in the 10 gallon tank, as scout fish, (new aquarium) and I was wondering if they will chomp on his fins, or bother him. There are only 2. Im afraid to put him in the tank until i can buy a test kit on payday.  |

I would not put him in with any other fish as he has not gone through a quarantine period and he also may be vulnerable to those others as fin nippers depending on what kind they are. Bettas are not really community fish and do not relate well to other types except for a very limited few and they are not in the feeder fish category.

Very pretty Betta boys! I was wondering tho, they are all in small bowls with no filter or heaters. Do you plan on putting them in larger tanks soon? |
