I know they are bad but for some reason my new camera and I just do not get along. I cannot get it to take unfuzzy pictures and the fish will not hold still and behave long enough to give me a real chance. I need to go to school to learn how to do this with a camera that is smarter than I am but I do not have the time so these will have to do. I wish I had my old not so smart camera back!

My new one is a Kodak P880 if anyone knows anything about them I would appreciate any pointers or where I can learn anything about them.

Well here goes. They were all especially naughty today as they have been upset due to the weather being bad and it always gets them wild but never this hyper!

If you are having trouble with the autofocus, try backing up further away and then zooming in if your camera zooms. This widens the field of focus. You can then crop the picture if you want to have the fish to take up the whole picture.

Hey, love your guys and those are good shots, but I think the auto-focus might be off on the camera? And really, we've had a friend with a prosumer level DSLR come over and a lot of the pics were blurry.. these little stinkers make you work for a good shot.

I agree that the bettas on this site are lovely, gorgeous and WHAT a difference in Prissy!

She has Blossomed and Bloomed! You have every right to be so proud of her. Claude is so striking and handsome. and the others are great too!!

We all have lovely fish and that is why the calendar is going to be so great!

I tried all the advice and backed up and reset the camera and updated all the software on all the photo stuff right down to the resizing software and see if the following test shots are better. If not I am calling Kodak.

Do you have a macro setting? That is what I always use for the fish..I make sure that the cam is focusing on what I want by watching thru the viewfinder ( or on the monitor ) while I hold the button down halfway and let the cam focus..if I don't like what I see then I refocus. Just keep trying and don't get discouraged. I think the fancier the cam the harder it is to get good pix from cuz you have to learn so much complicated stuff..lol. The glory of it is that you can just keep practicing and you won't waste any film..you delete and try again...you can do it...Good luck.

Latest photo of Candi. She's one of the Calendar Girls. I think she made it into October! Yay!

I love the way she "posed," and especially showing off her fins against the few lighter backgrounds in the tank. Unfortunately, there were no lighter backgrounds to show off her long ventral fins with all the other fins at the same time. She did her best for the camera.

When i got him he had the start of curly fin regrowth and it has carried on growing curly. I love this pic of him the picky eater looking innocent!!
