How would you describe this colour?

Because I'm obessed and cannot wait till I get to pick him up...



how would you decribe the colour of this boy?

These are the breeder's photos, I will get my own in the weekend once I pick him up (ooo it's going to be ages until Friday)

I'd call it black/aqua or black/neon blue

I also thought that color was called orchid. Hmmm...he seems to have a bit of the dragon gene in him too

mmm I've had a look at the description of a black orchid "black Orchid

A Black Orchid betta will ideally have a black base together with a black banding of all 3 fins. The blue/green or steel must be present in the tail as shown to the left (bred by DP Fishways) and also in the anal and dorsal fins. A very slight blue scaling is also acceptable on the body."

which is close but I think he probably had a bit too much colour in his body from the photos.. he was described as a blue so I can't wait to see him in person because he looks much more greeny

I would say he is Black with Turquoise/Green Irridescence.

That is amazing colours in this fish never seen one like it i would say it was black and turquoise.
