does this sound good

i was wondering if it would be a good idea to have my betta, some African dwarf frogs and some cherry red shrimp all in my spare 10 gal with filter heater and lights.

and i also want some suggestion for other small unusual shrimps, snails, frogs or anything like that that could live with the aquatic critters above.

thanks

I know bettas and RCS do fine in a 10 gal with loads of hiding spots and they love it if it's planted I wouldn't know about ADF. More input on that from other members. Good luck and hope to see some photos

There aren't any other frogs that you could put in with your ADF and I wouldn't suggest any fish other than maybe a couple of otos.
Not sure how the shrimp would do with the ADF's.
You could try a snail, but watch that the betta doesn't pick on it.

Im not saying all bettas pick on snails, but mine did, i removed the snails.
I understand it's difficult to feed frogs when there are other tank mates.

One of my Bettas picked on my snail too. Haven't tried it with any others.
You're right Beth, you'd have to spot feed the ADF's. The Betta would probably get to most of the off first.

I believe the earlier posts were implying (and I agree) that they are not compatible because the frog will likely starve to death unless you take extreme measures to feed the frog (like making one of those special feeders), and even then there's no guarantee the fish won't steal the food first. Also, the betta may pick at shrimp, not sure if frog will.

You could divide the 10g; betta on one side, ADF on the other.
