I have had a fishy with that colouring, his name was Apollo, does this colour have a special name? You keep saying 'Mustard Gas'. What is this?
Are their colour names for fighters?

I am not sure what his coloring is called but he reminded me of a mustard gas for some reason, (hence the name Dijon(LOL) his body is very dark with some hints of green and his fins are a pale orange,But My Mom's betta "Frivolous" was soooo pretty, a dark maroonish red with pinkish purple throughout, here's a pic of hers

He looks happy in there. I would recommend a silk plant with big broad leaves and a cave (smooth inside & out and big enough for your thumb to fit through any holes) to add to his environment. They love having a 'retreat' like a cave and big leaves are nice for resting on.

What a lovely home! Does it have a light? I would imagine Dijon would be very pretty with a light behind him?
