Hi everyone, As requested I have started a new thread for this.
I have finally managed to get together a video of him, Sorry for the not so good quality but did not have a camcorder at hand this afternoon and was forced to use the video function on my Camera (takes decent photos but the video is shocking).
He seems to have settled in and so far looks happy enough. I had an ammonia spike and nitrite spike this morning when I got up so did a 50% water change, Im hoping it was down to one of the two corie's getting trapped behind the filter and dying during the night. I will check it again tomorrow once I get home for work just in case (I hope I dont have a mini cycle on my hands).
The only problem I'm having at the moment is he doe not seem to be eating, I have tried him with flake, small pellets and dried bloodworm.
He's a beauty.
Try soaking his pellets in garlic juice, sometimes that helps.
Cami didn't eat for a while either, so don't worry just yet
What are you feeding the cories? It's possible he's getting some of their food.
I will try and get some garlic juice tomorrow, I feed all my cories and shrimps Algae Wafers but most of them tend to get scraps from the bottom anyway.
Small world, I had a fighter called Zeus to!
Don't worry about video being poor on camera, I use my digital camera (which is only meant to take photos) for video all the time. Sometimes I can't find the fish for the fuzz on screen!
Wow... he looks like my Temmers I'll always have a special fondness for the bloo boys!
Speaking of Temmers, he didn't eat for like a week after I first got him, but once he decided he was hungry, woah boy, did he decided he was hungry. Give him time... he's probably just adjusting Soon he will live up to the generally piggie nature of bettas.
