Don't know where to post this...

On my recent trip to the LFS, as well as bringing home guppies I had no intention of getting, I also fell in love with a beautiful crowntail betta. Obviously I couldn't bring him home without first preparing a home for him (the guy in the store tried to talk me into putting him in with the guppies!!!!!!)

So, my question is, can I divide my 5g that already has 1 betta boy in it, or is 2.5g each not enough? Also, any suggestions on how to divide a tank easily? I'm not very handy so the easier the betta! haha. I crack myself up

Bettas have a way about them don't they?
Personally, I wouldn't go with less than a 5g for a betta. However other members keep theirs in 2.5 and they do fine.
Here's how to Divide a betta tank

Thanks Lucy (and Shawnie), that's a great way to divide a tank, even I could manage that! I'm still not sure about the size though, I feel a bit the same way - he looks comfy in his 5g, I don't think I'd like to cut his home in half. Don't think he'd like it either. I might just see if I get any other comments before I decide one way or the other. I really don't want to have to set up a whole new tank...but I'd love another betta. Hmmm....

What's one more tank? After all, you know you can't stop thinking about him.

Ooooh. You people are enablers of the WORST kind!!!

.....you know, if I got a 10g long, I could divide it and get 2 more bettas....

Now Lucy, see what you've done?
