New Containers for housing store Betta's

I'm so excited I found some really nice containers for my betta's in the store. They are square and are 48oz. and give the fish plenty of room to move around. These come in 32oz., 48oz., and 64oz. Here is a picture of them.

That's so good to see. There's still a few stores over here that house their bettas in containers like that, but unfortunately more and more they seem to be moving toward the cups. There should be a law against it. I don't understand why animal cruelty laws don't seem to apply to fish, arent they animals too? Anyway, good for you whisper, more LFS owners should be like you!

Great effort! Take it step by step in increasing their space. Wished there was an invention for those lil' filter that could fit into lil' containers like this. Congrats!

I'm not questioning her care. But when a store owner has these products for sale, what are they saying? This is for sale, but please don't buy it?

We really wouldn't want to keep them in that size container all the time but this filter worked on my 5g perfectly.

Lucy. I have care sheets that I printed out that each Betta customer gets. I also advise them that the small keepers are OK while the betta's are young but they must have something bigger as the fish grows.( this also brings them back to spend more money on tanks and equipment.) I do have tanks they just don't show in the pictures.

MM yes I love these containers. They come in different sizes to so you can upgrade them as the fish grow out. I got them from a company that sells all sorts of containers. Here is there website www.containerandpackaging.com The nice thing is they will send you free samples so you know exactly what you will get when you get ready to make an order. Do a search for plastic containers.

although your upgrades are better than the cups, and im sure the bettas love the room...but bettas in unfiltered areas without heat and regulated temps, and the betta keepers sold right beside them, is sending a message that some of us betta lovers dont care for...so you have to understand part of where we are coming from......even young these fish dont belong in them IMO ..but each fish keeper has their own views on how to keep fish and I understand that..doesnt mean I agree but I understand...making money is all part of that plan I also understand...im glad you take it up a notch with the betta care sheets and I hope the consumer takes the time to listen and read it
