Hello everyone. Last month I set up a ten gallon hospital tank when one of my platys became sick. She recovered, but I hated the thought of an empty tank so I decided to save a Petsmart
betta from life in a cup. He's red, blue, and black CT I have named Mr. Awesome. If more people knew how great it is to see these fish swim around in a decent sized tank, the stores wouldn't be able to keep them in stock. He's the only fish we have that plays in the bubbles from the bubble wand. He will swim down to the bottom, spread out his fins, and let the bubbles swoosh him up to the top like it's some kind of carnival ride. Anyway thanks to everyone here for sharing your information and experiences; it's been very helpful
Question: Mr. Awesome's current tankmates are five Glowlight Tetras. I figured they would be too fast for him to bother and too shy to bother him. It seems that they are a little too shy. Mr. Awesome flared at them once and now they huddle together at the opposite side of the tank. I have four WCMM I could switch the tetras for. Would they be less intimidated? My only other considerations are to get some Cory's or to let him have the tank to himself. Thanks.
