kate if its still bad and you are in fear of loosing her, and all the other methods havent worked suggested from our great members, you have to wrap her ..do it on a day that you have a few days off in a row....

always attempt the pea method of releasing some bulge first..just in case its constipation and not egg bound...I also hope kates girls are doing well!

Shawnie, have you tried this? I had a gril who was so eggbound I tried everything including breeding her and nothing worked....Steve actually held her in his hand and tried to strip her of her eggs....She didn't make it.....

This is what a TRUE eggbound female looks like...Sorry to be so graphic but if it can help someone it is worth posting..

I did try rubbin belle on her underside but I didnt push on her or try to strip her..... and she was like that!!!!!!! only very lethargic...the wrap was the only thing that THANK GOD worked for her...im sorry you lost your girl MM !

Karen, I'm sorry for your girl. It must have been hard to post the pics but maybe it'll help others tell the difference between bloating and egg bound.

it actually looks the same lucy... but after a few days of fasting and the pea method, if its bloat, it should change......

I thought bloating was more evenly distributed. Prissy's bloat wasn't all up front I don't think.
She wasn't nearly as big either. It still hurts to look at her sick pics.

well zouk had the same and he was fine after 2 weeks of the pea...he wasnt evenly distributed....and another of my fems from MM was like that but the pea thinned her out before any boys were around...although I never saw eggs, im not sure if she dropped them if it was egg bound

Tink is still pretty much the same. I have no idea what is up. She is active and eating fine, but I have tried everything and nothing has worked. I even tried putting her in with fozzie, but he was so scared of her, eventually I just took her out. Maybe I should try treating her for bloat...

I wouldnt treat for bloat kate ....all MM 's babies are egg bound..they are just good like that LOL ...with belle, it took 3 days ....but I did condition them both for 8 days prior just in case they were vicious to eachother..but again, belle wasnt swimming and such so mine was more severe it sounds...I hope she releases them on her own!!
