As some of you know, I won the fish picture of the month contest a couple of months back. I used the gift certificate to buy a 5 gallon capacity seamless acrylic "critter keeper" which just happens to be perfect for a
betta tank!
I have been wanting a halfmoon betta for a long time, so I was really excited when we went to the
LFS that carries them yesterday! I was kind of disappointed that they only had 2 in stock, though, and neither one was a color that I really liked. The lady saw me looking at them and said something like "We have those to halfmoons and we also have some really special ones in today - look at those super deltas! Those ones are just babies right now and their tails will get HUGE when they grow up! If you like the halfmoons you'll LOVE these!"
So, I ended up bringing home a super delta and not a halfmoon... I wasn't really sure what a super delta was but the lady made it sound like they had better/more finnage than halfmoons so I got one.
When I got home I googled it, and I was kinda disappointed when I read that a super delta "is one step above a delta and one step
below a halfmoon".
But I still love my new cutie pie, so here he is!
