| IBC Best in Show male new breeders class is
The call just came in.....My blue boy went BEST in SHOW at the biggest show of the year from a HUGE new breeders class....If that wasn't enough his green brother went reserve! My little blue BF baby girl went reserve Best in Show female at the tender age of 13 weeks old!
I'm beyond tired now and I'm going to bed to have some very sweet dreams! This is the biggest honor any breeder could ask for....Winning at the International betta convention!

Kate, the way it goes in the judging arena is they have 3 class winners from each sex....1'st 2nd and 3rd........The top male and female compete for best in show....My male won.....Then the 2nd place winners go back up for judging for reserve best in show...So basically, he was the 2nd best male...My girl was #2 best female..
I'm still in shock considering the phone calls I had received telling me about the STIFF competition in the males class...
Here he is at the show....I think he misses his Mommy lol All the blue stickers are from the different judging such as 1st in class, best male and best in show. | |

| The show is not over yet...Tonight is the awards ceremony where they present the trophies to the winners....They will be heading home tomorrow night...My friend drove them there so it will take a couple days for them to get back..That's the part I HATE about showing! | |

| Karen I saw them!!! I saw your betta's!!!! I talked to one of the judges, Wayne, he said if you had entered him in the non-new breeder catagory you would have done very well! He said they were all amazed at how beautiful he was!! Hee hee, we saw his bowl and his blue stickers.
There were some amazing betta's there. I didn't see your girls. There were so many to look at. The auction is tomorrow, wish we could go back but we just can't. | |

I'm so happy you went! I knew you would enjoy it...It was a great opportunity for any Betta lover to see the best Bettas in the world in person!
That's exciting you saw my boys! I've had several phone calls saying that same thing about the comments..Apparently he had a VERY good shot at going BIS in the whole shabang! O'well, I'm happy with my NB win..The points and championship can come later...
