I went to pick up a bunch of aquarium decorative items from a CL ad today. They also threw in a few things like filter media and fish food since they were moving. As they were showing me the rest of the stuff, the girl said, "Oh, and by the way, do you want a betta?"

I really did not want another betta. But when I saw him (her?) I couldn't refuse. If it's a male, the tail has some DRASTIC issues. It's more like a female's tail, but I've never seen a chain store female betta with colors this bright.

Like I said, the only other betta I was planning on getting was a male Halfmoon. Now I have to buy more equipment.... ugh. When will I learn to say "no" to fish offers? But I was afraid he's be flushed if I didn't get him... maybe I'll give him to my sister and she can divide her 5g and keep him in it along with Mango.

OK, I took a closer look, and "he" actually appears to be a "her". I saw the egg tube.
