He's doing quite well ... though I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out if his upper tail fin is naturally shorter than the rest ... or if he was missing some of it when I got him. There haven't been any black or white outlines to indicate rot ... but I've been keeping an eye on it and doing daily water changes with Vita Chem/NovAqua+.

I fixed it for you he looks fabulous..give him time to grow now that hes in a great home and lots of love..what you are doing is perfect!! im not familiar with novaqua+ is it healing with aloe like stress coat + is? its so nice to have men care about fish as much as us girlies do...its so refreshing welcome viking!

Thanks. Not sure what I did wrong on attempting to attatch the photo, lol.

NovAqua+ is what Kordon recommends to pair with Amquel+ ... though it makes for a fine stand alone conditioner in a biologically established tank. It does everything except handle ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates ... which is why Kordon recommends pairing it with Amquel+ for those issues (even selling it packaged together). Being that I'm doing daily water changes until I'm sure he's healthy (at which time I'll use TSS), I'm using a combo of Prime and NovAqua+, much like Dave (COBettaCouple) does/used to do. NovAqua+ uses the same polymer colloids as Kordon's Fish Protector (though in a lesser concentration). Also like Fish Protector, it contains vitamins and echinacea ... in addition, it also contains an anti-virus inhibitor.

I've got Stress Coat+ on hand as well, if I want to switch.
