Thanks. I have tried everything with the ladies but the one that died later on whom I named Snow White were just too sensitive and she is so scared to death of me and just wouldn't eat from day one. Broke my heart too.

Thank God I am not the only one out there who is so weird. I just can't help it when I take a look at the bettas in the store. I do quarantine the newbies and Wasabi was one of the odd one that I bought healthy because I just love his pattern and I'd never thought he'd get sick and I put him in the healthy tank with Sushi (my first rescue that gripped my heart and will never let go). That totally crushed me. Don't I deserve one betta that I bought healthy that I really liked

?
I now feed Pepso food to all the newbies because I believe most of them come with parasite issues. I also watch them REALLY closely especially the first few days and if I see anything new coming up, its going to be nipped at the bud. Its a ticking time bomb if you don't clear it while they are still eating. The other day, I looked at how they changed the betta's water and I understand now why disease spread so fast in the store.
Cloud boy is doing well so far in the
QT tank. He is eating and seem curious of everything. He was very timid yesterday. Every time he sees me, he goes "ahhhhh" run and hide. Today, he seems okay with me and the best thing is, he is eating. I might name him Cloud boy or Yoda but he really makes me think of a cloud when I look at him. The huge VT boy whom I named ET, well he just made me think of ET when I look at him is also doing well-his fin rot issues gone after a week and eating real well. He is a piggie from the start and his fin rot did not faze his appetite one bit. His fins curls though and is very long and he is sort of strangely unproportionate but he will always be special to me.
I am now looking at a small CT in the store that came in way too young. He is still all black and despite being there for weeks, no one is buying him-no surprise to that one. I might get him to join us and grow up with us.
