| Introducing..... My New Girlies :) Suprise I have been planning a sorority tank, and since they work best with sibling girls....who better to order my bettas from than the Lady in the Shoe?! She had so many of those adorable girls left over from her last spawn, that I couldn't resist, lol.
I am housing seven girls in an 18 gallon tank that is heavily planted with lots of hiding spots. I had just turned on the lights when I snapped these pics, so some of the girls are still showing stress lines, but they are doing fabulous. I can't even figure out who the dominant girl is...they are all buddies No nipped fins or chasing so far, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I will take some better pics tomorrow. I didn't want to use a flash because they were freaked out enough after being shipped. I am still deciding on names, but if any come to mind, let me know
BTW Karen, do you realize that this brings me to 11 of your bettas from one spawn... MBS at its best! |

| KATEEEEE! Best kept secret around here in awhile
Had no idea you were getting a sorority.. ohh I am sooo happy for you!
Your tank is amazing! I also love all those roots you have in there. The girls must be in seventh heaven in that tank!
I love the photos of the girls with the white edges on their fins... I cant wait to see them with the flash after they have had a chance to acclimate and rested in their new home!
I really hope that they end up doing well together. I had also thought of a sorority for my 29g tank.. but didnt have the nerve hehee... |

I have figured out most of their colors. One of the girls is a gorgeous deep lavender which I love. I have one girl that I think is a blue, and another that I know will be gorgeous, but I can't figure out her color for the life of me lol The lights are off in the tank now, so I'll get to look at all of their beautiful colors in the morning. I moved them out and I am setting up another tank for them. When the all-in-one hood broke I had major problems and a lot of the plants died and waste accumulated in the tank, so I lost two of them I am going to set up a smaller tank for the three that I have left. I thought it would be better to have the puffs in a smaller tank where they are easier to see anyhow. Quote:

I asked Karen about the girls and she said that she would hold them for me because I needed to fix the hood of my tank. Then my husband got an unexpected bonus check, and I replaced the hood. I sent Karen a message saying that she could ship them out whenever was convenient for her. She happened to be packing up shipments and told me that I would have the girls in the morning.
I can't wait to turn on the lights tomorrow morning and get some better pics. I didn't want to freak them out with the flash, but tomorrow they should be fine Today is one of those days when I didn't want to turn off the tank lights, lol. Quote:
