I've had my betta for about 5 months. I started him in a 3 gallon tank and now he's in a 10 gallon with 3 cory cats. He's healthy, active and beautiful but I've never seen him make a bubble nest. Does this mean he isn't happy? He looks like he enjoys himself swimming around and always gets excited to see me when I come close to the tank...

it's probably nothing to worry about some bettas never make bubble nests, and some of the sickest bettas i've seen bubble nest sometimes. it really depends on the particular fish.

OK....good to hear. I keep hearing all this bubble nest talk and that they only do it when they're happy so I thought I was somehow being a bad betta mom. lol
