Rags has been quite the cute betta, but makes me worry on a constant basis. This morning when I went in to check on him he was shoved in the cornner and I thought he was dead. So I moved the plant and he went to the top for some air (whew), but I noticed something white on the tip of his mouth. I did his water change as I do every weekend and tonight I went in for his nightly feeding and the white coloration on his lips is now as far up as his eyes....Im so sad for him, it seems like there is something wrong with him every few weeks. I dont have the camera to take any pics of this because my husband has it in AZ. Any suggestions of what this could be?

The first thing that comes to mind is fungus - does it appear fuzzy or slick? Does he eat and swim around like normal? Rid-Fungus would be something safe to give him that we've had very good luck with and if it's not a fungus, then no harm done by the Rid-Fungus since it's an herbal organic liquid and not harsh. Fish Protector, Garlic Guard and Vita-Chem would all be good to give him as well, if you have any of them.
