Trouble feeding betta

Hey guys. I've been having trouble feeding my betta lately. The thing is that he never notices the food because he is to preoccupied with chasing his own reflection. He won't even notice it when I put it right in front of him. The main issue is with bloodworms. He seems to do fine with pellets and the occassional peas. It may sound a little funny, but it is starting to get frustrating. Any suggestions?

Hmmm... I suppose the first step is to figure out a way to decease the reflection in his tank so that he pays more attention to lunch then defending his turf...
Are the lights on in the room brighter then his tank? That should decrease the amount of reflection that he gets...

you can try dipping his food in garlic guard (or just garlic juice from a jar of minced garlic works)

How do you feed him the bloodworms? We got a pair of long aquarium tongs (rounded ends) to feed the fish bloodworms. A couple of our Bettas get distracted VERY easily and get so excited at food time that I use the tongs to get their attention and lead them towards the opening for the food. It's a process of training them, but the shiny tongs help. If you don't have tongs, maybe something else shiny can help in teaching him to come to a certain spot for food.
