I lost my favorite boy "Dunn" I'm not even sure why he passed away....He just stopped eating and was gone in 2 day...No sign of illness at all....I haven't been able to talk about it until today..

Dunn was my favorite boy here....He was a wondeful Daddy and an even better surrogate Father..I am going to miss his big brown eyes greeting me each morning....

I now have his son to remember him by....This little boy was born with a crooked/curved spine due to his doubletail gene....He has NO clue anything is wrong with him....He is a clone of his Daddy (except his back problem) He will never be bred he will just be my loving pet to remind me of his WONDERFUL Father "Dunn"

RIP my sweet baby boy..Mommy misses you

oh darlin!!!!! im so sorry for the loss of one amazing boy...he opened the eyes of many as far as his personality and his unique ability to raise fry from other spawns..I bet you wont ever find another as close to him and his strength...rip you handsome boy!! your son will keep your mommy happy!

My heart breaks for your loss. I know how very special Dunn was to you and many of us here in the forum. What a wonderful and special life he had with such a caring loving Betta mommy. And now you have his son to carry on... and that is a blessing for sure.

Dear MM, so sorry you lost Dunn. He was a lovely boy, and I am so thankful you have his son to help keep you company. Truely the most difficult thing about fishkeeping isn't the water changes, or testing parameters, or care of the fish...it's when we lose one that means so much to us.

My calendar has pride of place in the kitchen so ALL our babes are there to see.

So sorry you lost him, i find the loss of a betta a killer......we have 2 vt's Flame 2yrs+ and Tudor/scrag end i call him as fins always a mess!!! Then Stan a Plakat....the store said he was a female VT...i said no he's not ( hoped i was right and was....he's a stunner!!!) After the deaths of 6 others i'm not up for the heartache!!! plus over run with guppy fry!!!!! I won't forget your boy!!!

How long did you have Dunn? I didnt think the little guys had much time on earth? Either way sorry to hear about the loss. Bettas can be so easy to get attached to.

i think wifey is about to loose her first betta Royal Blue any day now, I'm bracing for all the tears. He's fought a good fight against prolonged illness with a strong spirit that only a betta fish can have. He seems to be winding down and coming out of his little cave less and less.

Be strong MM, all those bettas need you!
