All are very good comments above. Just something to add is that you should read up on the notrogen cycle asweel before you start cycling your tank. That way, you will understand why you are adding all these products, what you will be testing when your test kit arrives. Once you have a more basic understanding of all this, then it will all start to make sense to you. So don't worry too much. It is all alot to take in at the beginning but it alll starts to make sense if you understand the WHY aswell as the HOW?

He will be the sole occupant of his batchelor pad I have no fish at the moment.

I have read up on the cycling its just its alot to take in & science was never my strong point. I'm sure I'll get used to it once I get started. I'm still waiting on my test kit to arrive in the post so when it does I can have a good read up on whats in there...

It sounds like the fish has found a good home, and will be well taken care of.I have to add, that I don't care for the floating bag. Then again,I don't put anything in my aquarium that comes from the LFS,except the fish.

I would recommend the drip method for acclimating your new companion to his new home. It's the only method I use.

Can someone explain
