I've had the tank divided for a while now, but I've kinda neglected it since I've been working on the reef setup. Yesterday I took some time and spent a little money on the betta's tank, adding some school spirit, and a hood, lol. (sad it took me this long to spend $30 on this tank, when I spent that on a ricordea mushroom rock last week without thinking twice about it).

Anyways, both Nike (the female, named for the Greek goddess of victory) and Bacchus (the male, named for the Greek god of wine and spirits) seem to like their new digs. Bacchus has been building bubble nests like crazy, but I don't have the time or the space for babies, so it ain't gonna happen.

Anyways, since I finally got my camera back from my girlfriend, I felt like sharing some pics (BTW, I almost broke down and bought a 10 gallon black tank b/c the wood grain doesn't match, but then I know I'd just get more fish and it'd be a cycle...)

im always switching my living room around cause I get bored...tank renovations are due also!

I do that too! I rearrange my puffer tank all the time! And they like it too, it's like a new home to explore!

my bettas are due for an update LOL I like how aust has the pure white gravel with a few colored on top...except once you do the vacuum, they get mixed....

I really like that set-up. Makes me think I should turn my quarantine tank into a divided tank for 2 bettas.

lol I hear ya. I just saw an add on kijiji with someone selling off what sounds like a really nice 10 gal set up, with possible stand. I'm trying to convince myself that I want a 33 gal more.

It looks like gravel on the bottom and the flat glass marbles on top, so vacuuming shouldn't effect the way it looks.

I wasn't bored with the old one, I just felt like I neglected the fish for a bit while I was working on the 75 reef that is literally across the room (the Bettas can see the reef tank) and needed to hook them up with some stuff. It literally cost me less to fix up the 10 gallon than it did for my rock with 2 ricordea mushrooms on it for the reef...Plus the "natural" look it had with river rocks was kinda drab, while this is bright.
