What type of plant would i get for my Betta.Some of the fake plants hurt betta and make there scale bad.

Depends on the lighting in your tank.
I have no special lighting and have had wonderful luck with anubias and wysteria in my betta tank.

I have hornwort and java fern in my tank, with low lighting.

Hornwort is rootless, so it can be any size you want it to be. The java fern in stores is usually only about 3" high, but it gets bigger as it grows. Not sure about the others.

Wysteria is as big as it wants to be or as small as you trim it. It once got to the point that it controlled half of the tank (and Sun Ce absolutely loved swimming through its fronds). It's now almost to the top of the 10g tank again, and about four inches across.

Bettas like Java Fern.... Wysteria? I thought Wysteria was a large outdoor climbing Vine?

It is. Water wysteria, however, is a fairly popular aquarium plant. I often forget to put the "water" in front of it.

We've had the best luck with java moss in our Betta tanks, but water sprite and water lettuce also do pretty good as floating surface plants that our Bettas enjoy.
