Dmitri's new home
Here's a pic of Dmitri's new home. I insta-cycled it from my other betta tank. I'm going to keep him in here, and if I need to use this tank as a quarantine then I can move him into the other betta tank with my extra divider. He's enjoying it so far. He's a hilarious little fish. He is extra curious. When I put the gravel in the tank he had to inspect every piece. When I put in a few pond snails he tried to eat them, but failing at that he was content to just watch them crawl around and looked like he was trying to ask them "wadda ya doin?" It's really cute. He's a troublemaker, trying to find every possible safety hazard that he can. I think I've got them all taken care of though. He's such a fun fishy.

Thanks It's actually just an aquarium tote, or whatever they're called, from Petco. I used some of the craft mesh that I made a divider out of and cut it to fit the top to function as a lid.

Ah! At petsmart, they call them kritter keepers, except they come with a lid lol. Seriously one of the most under rated thing available in the fish world. Great for a quick inexpensive QT tank, or in your case, betta home.
I've got a small whisper filter in mine. (There's an ADF in there right now)

One of the best things is that I can carry it even when it's full of water! Although I don't have reason to now that Dmiri is in it. Mine has a whisper too. The current was too strong for him though, so I took an extra foam insert meant for the AquaClear on my brackish tank and rubberbanded it to the filter outlet, and he likes it alot better now.

Hmm.. he went from a cup to a kritter keeper, then a divided tank.. I think he's going to expect a 55g soon.

Although, when my puffs move out to a big 55+, then that 20 gallon may well become his home Along with some cories!!!
