Well, I know very little about Bettas. My sister got one because she was jealous of me having so many fish. We've only had him for a couple of days now. When I got home today, I found he had made a bubble nest. I knew Bettas made these sometimes, and they have something to do with breeding, but I was to lazy and it didn't interest me enought to find out why. Why is it that my sister's male Betta has made a bubble nest? I'm guessing it's something unimportant, but I just wanted to check and make sure incase I need to do something special. They leave bubble nests for females to deposit eggs into. If no female then it doesn't matter.

You don't need to do anything at all regarding bubble nesting....It is something a young healthy male does and is completely normal.....It is usually a sign of health and happiness!

If we had a webcam we could see! lol He seems rather happy! He has also been very generous to us by giving us the credit card to go shopping!
