Luckily I'm fortunate enough to have enough money to last me the rest of my life...you know, assuming I die on Monday. |

I absolutely despise country and rap, and I only listen to hip hop if I can't avoid it (coworker puts it on at work). I love many kinds of rock, as well as jazz, blues, classical, etc etc. You know, the good stuff And as you can tell by my name, I am obsessed with my music... |

| | Fish Mentor | I would say the old Aerosmith (pre Live Bootleg) and Rainbow are my two favorite bands. But of course I like others like The Who, Clapton, Stones, Van Halen, BTO, etc. I was always more of a 4 chord kind of guy as opposed to (your favorite) progressive rock. |

I'm way into Pink Floyd (obviously), the Beatles, LED Zeppelin, the Who, Jethro Tull, Yes (at least their older stuff), Rush, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane... and the list goes on and on. I like all those bands you listed too, although I am not very familiar with Rainbow. |

| | Fish Mentor | Rainbow was a band formed by Ritchie Blackmore after Deep Purple broke up. The original lead singer was Ronnie James Dio, later to be replaced by Gram Bonnet (for one album) then finally ended up with Joe Lynn Turner. And the line up with the other musicians changed from album to album. (Almost makes one think Blackmore was difficult to work with)
Rainbow's most well know songs are probably "Man on the Silver Mountain" (Dio was lead singer on that) and "Stone Cold" (a power ballad with Turner on lead vocal.) In the Joe Lynn Turner era, they evloved to sound kinda like a heavier version of Foreigner. |

(Occasionally when I get bored I research old bands and whatnot, cause I wasn't around then, so I've gotta get caught up ) Ritchie Blackmore is an awesome guitarist. |

| | Fish Mentor | He is, but I think he is now doing (or was anyway) Renaissance music with a woman who I think is his wife. The name of the band is Blackmore's Night. (The womans last name is Night) |

| | Fish Master | I dunno, I just heard a few seconds of it and was like 'what the heck?'. But I suppose I should give it a try sometime. Well, my brother seems to at least like it a little, and I trust his musical judgement (he's a jazz guitarist in high school), so I'm sure it can't be that bad. |
